This Spanner Nut Socket is used to remove and install the spanner nut on the Over/Under output shaft on most models of Oliver, White and Minneapolis Moline tractors. This socket has a 1/2" square drive and allows you to apply the appropriate torque to the spanner nut. Not applying the factory recommended torque to this nut will result in the sprocket working against the shaft causing accelerated wear of the splines. And we all know what this shaft costs to replace. This socket is made out of solid steel and is MADE IN THE USA.   It measures 2 9/16" OD and 2 1/16" ID and is plated with Yellow Dichromate to ensure long life.

This socket will work with the 166235A "lock Nut" used on all over/unders including trunion mount over/unders (three speed power shift). Some of the models which will require this tool are Oliver 1755, 1855, 1955, 2050, 2150 and 2255 along with the White 2-150, 2-85, 2-88, 2-105, 2-110 and Minneapolis Moline G750 & G1355/2270
