Oliver Hydra-Power Output Spanner Nut Socket for 1550 1600 1650 1750 1800 1850 1950 Tool
This Spanner Nut Socket is used to remove and install the spanner nut which holds the chain sprocket on the Oliver tractor 2 Speed Hydra-Power output shaft. This socket has a 1/2" square drive and allows you to apply the appropriate torque to the spanner nut. Not applying the factory recommended torque to this nut will result in the sprocket working against the shaft causing accelerated wear of the splines. And we all know what this shaft costs to replace. This socket is machined out of solid steel tubing and is MADE IN THE USA. It measures 2 3/4" OD and 2 5/16" ID. Each one is plated with Yellow Dichromate to ensure long life.
This socket will work with the 155856A "lock Nut" used on all Hydra-Power Drives (two speed power shifts) equipped with a chain sprocket. Some of the models which will require this tool are Oliver 1550, 1600, 1650, 1750, 1800, 1850, 1950 and 1950T tractors.
